Piopio & Districts Museum

See what life was like in the King Country in early European times. The museum is housed in the original blacksmith's shop and cottage. It includes an exceptional early photograph collection, an early settler's hut and a blacksmith's forge in working condition. See quirky artifacts like the Piopio's original manual telephone exchange.

The cost of admission is a small donation. To visit, collect the key from the Piopio Superette. Groups are welcome. You can use the contact form on this website to organise your visit. The Piopio & Districts museum is on Ruru St.
