College Newsletter 2nd August

Kia ora Tatou,

Over the term holiday we once again had some drivers go through the farm fences on SH3. There were two accidents which caused damage to the fences. A huge thank you to our Piopio College Young Farmers Club who jumped in and did the re-quired repairs. Well done to Heath and the team. I have included some photos that show them in action.

Just a reminder to book appointments for our three way conferencing (student/ parent/ teacher interviews) due on the afternoons of the 7 and 8 of August 2019. This is a good opportunity to discuss progress to date and look at how we can ensure that your child/ren succeed this year. If you want to make an appointment please use the School Interviews link: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au and use the code 9evph.

Please bring your child/ren and their reports to the event as it is important that they have input into the next steps in their learning.

We have a TEACHER ONLY DAY on Friday 16 of August and we will all be sharpening our restorative practices and teaching skills on that day. Student will not be able to be supervised so it will be parents responsibility to make supervision arrangements for this day.

Our Senior Ball is on Saturday 17 August at the Night Owl. Our students need to be in the venue between 7.00-7:30pm and will be released at 10:30pm. The event is an alcohol free school function and as such all our school rules apply.
