Piopio Museum Update - February 2025

The Piopio District Museum Trust sincerely thanks those friends and supporters of the Museum who responded to the donation request in the 2024 newsletter.

The generous donations received will be used on the maintenance, annual costs of the Museum and some information boards.
We also thank Country Couriers for delivering the leaflets/newsletter on our behalf throughout Piopio and District. Thank you Tony and Paula.

It is with great sadness that the Museum Committee acknowledges the recent death of one of our long serving Trustees - Mrs Audrey Bevege. Audrey regularly oiled and cared for the old saddles and other leatherwork in the Blacksmith's shop. Audrey would happily share the stories of her visits in years past to the existing Blacksmith Shop - to shoe her horses and meet up with her friends.
Our sympathy is extended to the Bevege family at this time.
May She Rest in Peace


The Piopio and Districts Museum Trustees are running an open day / working bee at
1 pm on Sat 15th February 2025
We are encouraging local people to come along and see the great exhibits we are displaying here and to lend a hand if it suits for a few small maintenance jobs.
