Aria hosts social netball tournie

ON June 2, Aria Hard Netball Club hosted a netball tournament played between three teams: Aria, Hui Hui Kotahi from Hamilton, and Southern Horizon from Papakura.

The social tournament was first played in 2022 when Papakura hosted, Hamilton then hosted in 2023, and this third year here in Aria.

A trophy has been made (pictured), and named Ariakirikura Tapatoru, which derives from Aria, ‘kiri’ from Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), and ‘kura’ from Papakura, with ‘tapatoru’ meaning triangle. And the triangle is now literally complete as HHK won it in 2022, Aria won it in 2023, and Southern Horizon won it this year.

The weather played its part too with the sun coming through, and the players and spectators thoroughly enjoying the games and after function.
