KC Rivercare: Come Join the Team

THE COMMITTEE have been busy with arranging the presentation of our latest water results, as well as working on a pilot to develop digital farm plans to meet the needs of the upcoming Fresh Water Farm Plan regulations. There are also three pieces of consultation currently open that affect farmers – Mfe Low Slope Map (Stock Exclusion rules), Review of the NZ Emissions Trading scheme, and Biodiversity Credit system.

Our newsletter is a great way to keep in touch with all of these updates and regulatory goings on. You can sign on by visiting our website.

We are on the lookout for a new coordinator. Sadly, Jo Gaston our hard-working Coordinator is moving on. We are so grateful to Jo for her dedicated work as both a committee member initially, and then as a coordinator over the last three years.

With Jo leaving it leaves an opportunity for someone new to get involved. You can make this role your own, and there is the option to step up to take the leading role at KCRC. If you want to learn more, please get in touch with Anna – 027 490 0501.
