Piopio College - Punching above their weight

EIGHT of Piopio College’s rangatahi headed to Hamilton to participate in a Waikato Badminton competition recently.
Initially they were a little overwhelmed looking at the draw to see that, due to low numbers in the younger divisions, they had been put up into U17 and U19 divisions (even though they were all U15s). However, they held their own and had a very successful day!

Badminton continues to be a very popular growing sport at Piopio College and one we hope will continue to grow as we prepare to take a team to NZ Secondary Schools competition in 2025.
