Raupuha Stud plus the Bitches Box!

A BIT OF an update from our piece of paradise in the Mahoenui valley.

We have a busy next couple of months as we look ahead to our 9th Annual On-Farm Ram Sale on Tuesday, November 12. We will again offer 200 2th rams with selection coming from our FE Gold Perendale and Romdale flocks, alongside some Suffolk and Suftex rams.

This year we have a couple of interesting days happening before the ram sale with a ‘flock together/talk about sheep’ afternoon on Thursday, October 24 from 5pm-7pm There will be an update from Beef+Lamb about the Eliminating Facial Eczema Impact Programme. Sarah Powdrell from Beef+Lamb Genetics will share tools and basic principles of genetics to consider when selecting your rams.

On Tuesday, October 29 there will be an Open Day where Raupuha Stud Sale rams will be available for inspection from 1pm-2pm. Following this, Ginny Dodunski from Wormwise will talk strategies to combat drench resistance in your flock, what you can do - options/tools from 2pm-4pm.

We have the ‘Bitches Box’ returning with their new show on Wednesday, December 11 from 6pm-8.30pm. This one you have to buy tickets so keep an eye out for them via King Country River Care or get in contact with me.
