What a great night the Piopio Christmas Parade was. The village looked immaculate, and we were treated to a feast of amazing floats. Well done to those who made the effort to enter a float. It was a lot of fun and a great opportunity to catch up with family, friends and neighbours.

Specialized TM provided the traffic management for the parade at no charge. Thank you very much for a job well done.

A big thank you must go to Roger Buckman who has for many years picked up rubbish along the roadside and emptied overflowing bins at Kara Park when needed. Roger has voluntarily done this work and we are lucky to have someone who takes such pride in our town.

The Piopio Cosmopolitan carpark improvements are underway and once completed will not be available for parking of heavy trucks or vehicles.

Please remember to keep a look out for water leaks and keep storm water inlets clear of any debris and notify the Council of any problems.

Hope you have all had a great Christmas and New Year and are making the most of the wonderful summer weather that we are enjoying at the moment.
